Alaska AHEC’s “Name That Website!” Contest
Thank you to all of the “Name that Website” Contest participants!
Congratulations to the winner, Nancy Nix, who suggested:
The Alaska CACHE - Clearinghouse for Alaska's Continuing Health Education
As you know, the purpose of this website is two-fold:
- To streamline information about continuing education opportunities targeting healthcare professionals in Alaska and
- To link organizations who provide such events in an effort to minimize redundancy and enhance planning strategy.
While this contest resulted in the selection of a creative name for our website, a broader perhaps more significant goal was realized…
The “Name that Website” contest generated a lot of energy and enthusiasm around our state…especially for a still-in-development website! Consider these facts:
- A total of 119 name suggestions were submitted – wow!
- Entries came from individuals working in a variety of healthcare settings, including: hospitals, rural health clinics, the University, organizations/associations, and community health centers – double wow!
- And, they came from communities such as Bethel, Akhiok, Fairbanks, Petersburg, Sitka, Wasilla, North Pole, Ketchikan, Anchorage, Seward, Kipnuk, and Anvik – triple wow!
So, thank you for participating! By the quality of the entries and comments submitted, this website will serve a need that exists in our state.
Please keep in mind:
We are looking for individuals to provide feedback during the website development. If you are willing to test the website for us, please contact:
